A first-generation American, Stephen Cobos has a passion and savvy for business that he has applied to entrepreneurial ventures throughout his life. He first struck out on his own at age twenty-four, owning and operating a chain of automotive repair facilities. His drive to succeed didn’t stop there, however; he went on to acquire a successful auto restoration business next. From there he partnered in a medical clinic, eventually moving into the pharmaceutical business, operating flourishing pharmacies licensed in over 27 states. After his sons joined the business in 2016, the family created Formula168, a line of all-natural herbal supplements blending Eastern and Western herbal knowledge.

As Chief Flavoring Officer and part owner, Ed van der Loo brings over forty years’ experience in the flavoring business to Dolce Foglia. His career highlights include work as Principal Flavorist for Pepsicola; Director, Flavor Development and Applications for Sanofi Bio Industries; Senior Flavorist for International Flavors & Fragrances (IFF); Quality Control Supervisor for Dupont de Nemours; and Vice President to Flavor Development and Quality Assurance for Cultor Food Science. Originally from the Netherlands, van der Loo is not only fluent in six languages, but also holds two international patents for natural sweeteners.

Josh Cobos, Chief Operating Officer of Dolce Foglia, has charted a personally challenging course in life for himself from his youth. At age 14, he studied abroad in Israel for seven months, working out the itinerary and the costs himself. He also displayed a drive for leadership as a student, becoming captain of his football and soccer teams at age 16. His admiration for Israeli culture inspired him to join the Israeli army, earning his rank in the Israeli Elite Paratroopers Unit. The discipline he gained from his three years of military service, combined with his hands-on practical experience in his family’s enterprises, has given him the drive and vision to keep any operation running smoothly.

With a diverse set of interests, Levi Cobos has always learned through seeking new experiences. Captain of his wrestling team in high school, he paired his sports career with an internship in a physical therapy office, learning how to communicate with patients and assist them through their therapy. In college, he studied psychology while also a member of a fraternity active in philanthropic works. Though he took a year off during his studies to backpack through Asia and Europe alone, he completed his degree on time. Upon joining his family’s business, he assisted in both expanding the pharmacy and establishing branding and marketing for Formula168, gaining entrepreneurial experience in both the domestic and international markets.

Born in Argentina, Fabio Freiburg immigrated to the U.S. with his parents in 1981. He has long been inspired by the American Dream, taking every opportunity to learn for self-improvement and to work hard for business success. After high school, he traveled to Israel and worked on a kibbutz, where he met his lifelong friend, Stephen Cobos. From work in a language school, he went on to employment as a life insurance agent, studying business along the way. After a stint in New York, he returned to Los Angeles to found a career school. In 2016 he officially joined the Cobos family business, lending his expertise in human resources and product purchasing to their enterprise.

Distinguished by over 30 years of success as a businessman and entertainment professional, Erik Hicks’ experience in branding strategies, marketing, artist management, business development, and consulting/advising has served his clients and business partners in resplendent fashion. The multi-faceted Erik "E Smooth" Hicks is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist, songwriter, and producer who has written and produced songs for legendary artists and Rock & Roll Hall of Famers such as Aretha Franklin, Curtis Mayfield, and Bootsy Collins to name a few. Erik currently manages multi-platinum and Grammy-nominated artists such as the legendary entertainment icon Flavor Flav of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame, 2020 Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award recipient super group Public Enemy, and is business partners and a business advisor to the multi-platinum, Grammy-nominated rapper, singer-songwriter, and international superstar and serial businessman Flo Rida, who has sold over 100 million singles worldwide. To boot, Erik is one of the co-founders of Emmersive Entertainment, Inc. alongside his business partner, one of the most brilliant minds in tech and business, David J. Kovacs. David is co-founder of First Contact Entertainment, a leading virtual reality game company that includes Call of Duty veterans. Erik is a partner in the clothing line F.L.Y Kimonos. Grammy Award-Winning celebrities and entertainers such as Sean 'Diddy' Combs, Anderson. Paak, and Erykah Badu, have been seen wearing the F.L.Y Kimonos. Erik also has a strategic partnership with M2 Jets Aviation Company. In addition, Erik is a writer, producer, and director, and has a joint venture with Radar Pictures whose movies have generated over $9 billion in worldwide revenue, and include notable films such as Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle; Jumanji: The Next Level; and The Last Samurai; to name a few.

With an enthusiasm for cars and healthcare that he inherited from his parents, Max Cobos has followed his passions throughout his life. As a professional Go-Kart racer in his teens, Max took first place at Willow Springs in 2003. After high school, he pursued his love of art at the Art Academy and Brooks Institute of Photography. Upon joining his family’s pharmacy business in 2016, he applied his talents to maintaining day-to-day operations. His integral involvement in the development and marketing of the Formula168 brand, resulting in a distribution deal for the Chinese e-commerce market, has taught him to embrace business challenges and pursue the opportunities as they come.

A graduate of the University of Southern California, Stephanie Cobos has not let raising four sons to impede her business success. In addition to her active involvement in her family’s enterprises, from car restoration and service shops to medical clinics and a medical billing company, Stephanie finds passion in meditation and looks to help others find inner balance and peace-of-mind as a meditation instructor.
